Michael Gavrieli is an ambitious talented self-taught European artist with an Israeli/Italian name working with rare Ancient Encaustic technique which has long historical roots thousand years ago in the Roman & Byzantine Empires, that was considered the richest cultural period in today’s Europe.

This abandoned technique is very unique in the use of materials instead of acryl or oil colors are used pigmented colored bee wax apply on surfaces like canvas, paper, or wooden board with a hot Encaustic iron, and the signature of artworks is done with a special Encaustic pen.

Michael’s story began in his early 30s when he had a vision & desire to create unique art using 24 karat gold that have never been seen anywhere in the world. When his wife by chance introduces him to the Ancient Encaustic technique he immediately falls in love with and discovers his amazing talent and passion to create his life mission and he starts work on his dream.
