Luxury Villa La Filanda, breathtaking lakefront, pool and pier, 5 bedrooms in Brienno - Lake Como

Directly overlooking the crystalline waters of Lake Como, BHHS Palazzo Estate is pleased to present a meticulously restored historic estate, unparalleled in character. Located in the charming lake village of Brienno, the property’s storied past, breathtaking lakefront position, private pool and pier, landscaped garden, and private dock combine to offer an exceptional and singular opportunity.

This entire estate stands as a true rarity on Lake Como, distinguished by its location, historical significance, and cultural value. The villa, known as "La Filanda", dates back to the late 17th century and is ideal for those seeking either a primary residence or an investment property in a setting that preserves authenticity. Every architectural detail—from ancient stone fireplaces to the grand windows of the salone nobile—embodies the elegance of a bygone era, reimagined to meet contemporary standards of comfort and refinement.

The lakefront villa, covering an area of approximately 800 m2, is spread over several levels. At lake level, the ground floor features a kitchen with breakfast area, a dining room, a bathroom, a double living room with fireplace, a tavern with a large stone fireplace, utility rooms, a bathroom, and a striking stone portico that runs along the entire lakefront. This outdoor space allows direct access to the lake via a private pier. The private garden, approximately 200 m2, includes a swimming pool and ideal spaces for outdoor living.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a wardrobe room. The rooms are bright, welcoming and oriented towards the lake, offering a suggestive view. The second level houses an imposing hall of approximately 200 m2, with ceilings between six and nine metres high, large panoramic windows and an atmosphere that makes it suitable for private events, art exhibitions or representative environments. The hall is connected to the villa both internally and via a lake garden.

The property includes a beautiful guest apartment that is completely independent and always overlooking the lake.

Brienno is a small and charming village that retains the authentic and silent atmosphere of Larian tradition. Located on the western shore of the lake, this place is renowned for its scenic beauty, tranquility and historic architecture. The property is approximately 20 minutes from the city of Como, 50 minutes from Milan Malpensa International Airport and approximately 40 minutes from Lugano Airport.
