The name of this property has its origin in the oldest Polynesian civilization, the ancestors of the Tahitians: the Lapita people. A museum is even dedicated to them within the hotel.
Built on the oldest archaeological site of Huahine, surrounding a lake, this charming property is bordered by a white sand beach from where one can watch the sunset on the neighboring island of Raiatea.
The property is located on a plot of 31,818m2, close to the airport and 5 minutes from the main village of the island.
It is in this idyllic setting that we find 32 bungalows designed and decorated in a style combining Polynesian tradition and modern comfort. The architecture of these bungalows is reminiscent of the old Polynesian canoes.
Surrounded by the garden or facing the lake, they are all equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, mini bar, safe, hairdryer and bathroom with shower.
This eco-friendly property was built using the latest technologies in terms of renewable energy and energy optimization of facilities, an integral part of the architectural concept. The construction choices and materials were guided by the desire to create a luxury establishment composed of modern technologies as well as traditional and local methods and materials.
