The beautiful Quinta de Ferradosa is located on the north bank of the River Douro, in the town of Ferradosa, which encompasses the parishes of Linhares, Marzagão and Lavandeira, in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, in the district of Bragança.

It is in the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, an area that is particularly representative of the landscape that characterises the vast Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest regulated wine-growing region in the world and classified by UNESCO in 2001 as a World Heritage Site in the category of cultural landscape.

Quinta de Ferradosa covers around 160 hectares, of which around 10 hectares are vineyards classified with the letter "A" by the IVDP. The following cultivation areas also stand out:
