Poppy’s earrings in plique-à-jour enamel technique.

We must already imagine that the enamel (crystalline glass, protected in France by a decree of law), melts around 800 ° C, that it holds, like magic, between the partitions of pink gold and that the stones must be crimped after the delicate enamelling work.

This enameling step was complicated due to the complex volume of the piece (drapery movement) and the metal used (the enamel fixes better on yellow gold than on pink gold, question of chemical reactions).

It therefore took more than 7 fires, between the enameling itself and the heightened enamels to be painted to ensure a meticulous finish in gradation.

All around 2.96 ct. of pink sapphires and 0.56 ct. of spinels, 0.35 ct. of black diamonds and 0.70 ct. of chocolate diamonds (fancy brown) inside the small circle in the center of the earring and on the outer edge.

You have in these earrings a miracle of technicality, an incredible know-how which deserves the title of Meilleur Ouvrier of France!
