Painting Roy Lichtenstein Brushstrokes, 1967 - Roy Lichtenstein Brushstrokes, 1967

"Brushstrokes" is a series of paintings created by Roy Lichtenstein between 1965 and 1966, with "Brushstrokes" (1967) being one of the most striking works in the series. This series is a fascinating expression of Lichtenstein's talent for rethinking traditional artistic conventions and placing them in the context of Pop Art.

In "Brushstrokes", Lichtenstein uses an iconic visual language reminiscent of hand-drawn brushstrokes in painting. However, these are not actual brushstrokes, but reproduced representations of brushstrokes, which Lichtenstein creates in a comic-like style.
